Dollies, also known as furniture dogs, are very handy logistics tools for short distances. Usually, this means the last or first meters of (internal) transport. Sectors in which dollies are often used are the food sector, retail, logistics and the do-it-yourself sector. They are intended to relieve personnel physically by taking on the load. Dollies are low to the ground which provides more stability when manoeuvring, but also requires bending to pick up or place the load. The choice of the most suitable dolly depends on the working environment and the type of product to be moved.
We offer dollies in metal, wood and plastic versions with a load capacity of 250 to 250kg. The dolly with the smallest surface are 615×415mm, the dolly with the largest surface is 810×610mm. It is no coincidence that this is just the right size for a display pallet. In addition to the size, the weight is also important in terms of manoeuvrability. This weight varies from 3.5 to 6kg. Finally, the type of wheel is important. A softer type of material leads to less vibration and less noise. A larger wheel is less sensitive to ridges, seams and raised edges.
